Clean eating is all about eating fresh, whole foods. There are so many Artificial favors, colors, and ingredients in foods of today’s grocery stores. Eating “clean” is avoiding these types of foods. Making recipes from scratch and not from a box is a bit more time consuming but it is definetly worth it in terms of your health. All these artificial ingredient from these processed boxed foods are bad for your health. I love trying and finding new recipes to follow a clean eating life style!

Green Smoothie

Super foods! I love that thought of eating spinach and kale but I don’t have the ambition or desire to be munching on a salad everyday. Smoothies are quick, easy, and super yummy. Here’s the recipe I used today:

  1. Add ice cubes to bottom of blender
  2. Add a handful of spinach and kale
  3. 1/3-1/2 cup of Greek yogurt. I like to use vanilla or strawberry.
  4. 2 TBSP ground flax seed meal
  5. 1 TBSP honey
  6. 1 tsp vanilla
  7. 1 banana
  8. Now blend until smooth
